Begin - Lead Guide, Provider, Owner

(She/Her)

I was born and raised in Congo where I earned my degree in Economics at the University of Congo. During my adolescence I took care of my brothers, that is where my love of taking care of others, especially children, grew. It became a dream of mine that one day, I would start a school. I moved to Oregon in 2014, got married, welcomed our beautiful daughter and several years later our son. While in Portland, I worked as a lead teacher at a French Immersion school and I soon realized how much I enjoyed watching my students develop and learn. In 2017, I founded the Infant House and began creating a French Immersion school of my own. Arc-en-ciel Montessori French Immersion School opened its doors in May of 2020!

Jacqueline - Assistant

(She/Her)

I was born and raised in Cameroon and caring for children is what I was born to do. Before I moved to the states, I raised 4 of my own biological children, 2 adoptive children and took care of refugee children fleeing conflict areas of central Africa and I was a nanny for 2 children over the course of 6 years while their parents traveled abroad. I have been working with AECMS since before it was a Montessori School and have been at this location since 2018. I love all the children I have cared for and remember every single one of them. I love hearing about how the children I have cared for at Beaumont are doing after they have transitioned to NE Morris. When I’m not at work I enjoy hiking, cooking, knitting and spending time with my family.

Coco - Assistant

(She/Her)

I have recently moved to Portland, OR from Congo, I moved in 2021 to assist my daughter, Begin with her new baby. I lived in Congo for my entire life and am fluent in French and Lingala. While in Congo I helped raise my 9 siblings, 4 biological children, and 1 adopted child. My greatest joys are taking care of others, cooking, and singing. Now that my grandson is old enough to attend the Infant House, it has been wonderful to work at the school and get to interact with all of the children.
